Every weekend millions, if not billions are
being stolen; yet no one is arrested. Countless numbers of people, all
over the world, are involved, but no one seems to care and some are
not even aware. Yet, God says, that if they would stop He would open
the “windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there
shall not be room enough to receive it.” What is it
all about? Are you involved in this matter?
1.
According to the Bible, what portion of you income belongs to the
Lord?
“And all the
tithe
of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the
fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the
LORD” (Lev. 27:30).
2.
What is the “tithe”?
“And, behold, I
have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for
an inheritance,
for their service which they serve, even the service of the
tabernacle of the congregation” (Number 18:21).
3.
Where is the tithe to be brought?
“Bring ye all
the tithes into the
storehouse,
that there may be meat in mine house” (Mal. 3:10).
4.
Was tithing part of Moses’ system? _____
Abram “gave him tithes of all.”
Jacob said, “of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give
the tenth unto thee” (Gen 14:20; 28:22).
5.
How was the tithe to be used?
“And,
behold, I have
given the children of Levi
all the tenth in
Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even
the service of the tabernacle of the congregation”
(Num. 18:21).
6.
Did Christ do away with the tithing system?
“Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye
pay tithe
of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier
matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to
have done, and not to leave the other undone”
(Matt. 23:23).
7.
What promise does God make to those who give their tithe to Him?
“Bring
ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine
house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will
not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out
a blessing,
that there shall not be room enough to receive it”
(Mal. 3:10).
8.
What else does God ask of His people?
“Bring
an
offering, and come
into his courts” (Psalm 96:8).
9.
What determine how much offering we give, and how should we give?
“Upon
the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in
store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings
when I come.” “Every man according
as he
purposeth in his heart,
so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God
loveth a cheerful giver.”
(1 Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:7).
10.
What is the fate of those who continue to knowingly rob God of His
tithes and offerings?
“Ye are
cursed
with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.”
“Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom
of God” (Mal. 3:9; 1
Cor. 6:10).
11. Are
you willing to change you prayer life to be in harmony with the will
of God?
